Are you in need of a refreshing summer treat?
Jump to RecipeThese berry banana frozen yogurt popsicles are the perfect Trim Healthy Mama snack in hot weather.

When the heat of summer is on, light and chilled foods are what we usually crave. These popsicles fill that bill!
They have a delicious berry banana flavor and are perfect for a hot day! Even your kids will love them.
These popsicles have baobab in them!
Since I always love to sneak baobab into everything I can, of course I had to put some in this recipe. Since baobab has a tart, slightly fruity flavor, it goes so well with recipes like this.
Baobab is one of the highest sources of antioxidants on the planet and rich in Vitamin C. The Vitamin C it contains is in a bioavailable form, meaning it is easy for your body to process and absorb.
Baobab should definitely be making a frequent appearance in your Trim Healthy Mama foods! [Well, you could do THM without it, of course, but it is hands down my favorite superfood!]
There is a nice dose of protein in this recipe
These popsicles also have plain Greek yogurt, so this gives them a nice dose of protein making them perfect as a snack.
Since there are bananas in this recipe, make sure you use 0% Greek yogurt to keep them low fat.

Why do I need to keep these popsicles low fat?
In Trim Healthy Mama E recipes that contain carbs, like these popsicles, we keep fats low in order to keep our bodies from having to process too much fuel.
We run on either fats or carbs, so having them both in the same meal can mean we aren’t able to burn through it all before our next meal and some of it ends up being stored as body fat.
Separating fats and carbs during weight loss is a efficient way to keep our metabolism revved and our bodies burning through all the fuel we give it. You can read more about how this works here.
To add or not to add….
I included one teaspoon of Watkins raspberry extract in this recipe, which just takes the fruity flavor to the next level! You can omit it though, if you don’t have it.
